Matt Velderman
Matt was introduced to arboriculture and climbing trees through rock climbing. He has made a career with two of his passions; being outdoors and climbing. With over 9 years experience in tree care, he’s a certified arborist and qualified in tree risk assessment. He spends most of his spare time outdoors — fly fishing, hiking, or camping. His mission is to help maintain trees by keeping them safe and sustainable for future generations to enjoy!

Nate has been with MV Tree since the beginning, handling ground operations and heavy machinery. His expertise in rigging, equipment operation, and site management keeps jobs running safely and efficiently.

Tyler has been climbing with MV Tree since January 2023. A southerner who moved north, he brings technical climbing skills and a passion for tree work to every job. When he's not in the trees, you can find him enjoying bluegrass music and walks on the beach.
Administrative assistantGussy
Gussy manages scheduling, customer communication, quotes, and digital marketing for MV Tree. A military veteran who joined the team in August 2025, she keeps operations running smoothly. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, animals, and spending time in the sun.
